 Next releases?
« Thread Started on Sept 25, 2009, 1:32am »

Dear Tom,

At last in a couple of weeks I will be starting DMing again for my friends, and I would really like to know what do you have in store for D&Desque or fantasy RPGs. :)

Whatever you can share... What about the ruins? Ciao,

Maurizio

Towers, Castle Winterhawk series, a coupld E-Z Dungeons expansions (small-ish ones), Dragonshire ruined buildings, Dragonshore Markets. Plus a few fantasy offerings in the works for license deals I can't discuss. Also, the Cthulhu Egyptian set can also be used for fantasy settings. I'll also be getting with you this weekend for the stuff we've been discussing via PM.

Well, I can see I'll be spending more money on sets. :)

It's actually sort of scary at how well what's in the pipeline & recently released meshes with what my new D&D 4E campaign was/is in need of.

- A way to create a city large enough to base a group of 10-15 adventurers? Check

- A set to create wilderness outside said city? Check

- Caverns & dungeons that aren't just 10' wide hallways & square rooms? Check and check again

- NPCs for said base town? Papermonk & FDG partner up.

Group finishes up Space 1889 campaign, & decides to revisit a d20 Western campaign:

- FDG planning release of Western town

Now, if your DS Markets set is for those old farmer's markets with temporary stalls & such, I'll KNOW you're eavesdropping on us somehow. ;D

It is. The Market Street set is all tents, wagons, portable stalls, etc. We then have dedicated shop buildings coming later (the first is the armorers). These dedicated buildings have full interiors.

Any news about a wilderness expansion? ???

I am really looking for the wagons and carts (maybe). :P Thanks for the update. :)

I remeber Tom mentioning something about carts in the market set, but I could be imagining it. Hey Tom, what say ye?

Bubba, check Tom's reply to my post. I think "wagons" & "carts" are synonymous here. At least, I hope so.

Hey,

I certainly won't hold you to it, but do have any rough idea when the ruins set might be released? I was planning on making my own using Dragonshire and the expansion, but I'll hold off if your ruins will be released in the near future. If you can't say or have no idea, I understand.

Thanks.

Ruins are underway. My goal is to have them out before the end of October, but that might slip by a week (at most) depending on how long it takes to wrap the Western set. So you're looking at 4-5 weeks at most.

I saw that, I just think of wagons having 4 wheels and carts having 2. I guess it would be easy enough to make a 2-wheeler from a 4-wheeler

Hmm...hadn't considered the technical differences. :P You could always just grab One Monk's graverobbers set as well. It's got a 2 wheel cart, complete with driver. Or, for those of you looking to make a Halloween "diorama" just grab his combo pack.

Great to hear the release will likely be soon. Really looking forward to it.

Thanks.
